Last week, the ComeThinkAgain consortium gathered in Madrid for two days filled with productive discussions, collaborative planning, and strategic updates. Our team, composed of partners from across Europe, came together to advance our mission of equipping educational institutions with tools that promote computational thinking, digital competencies, and sustainable development. With a shared goal of fostering innovation in digital education, each work package (WP) led dedicated sessions to address current achievements and the road ahead.
A Look Into the Achievements and Key Takeaways
1. Project Management and Coordination
The opening session reviewed the progress in project management and coordination. With three major milestones already reached, we are on track to meet our project goals. Additionally, the upcoming signing of our Consortium Agreement represents a commitment from each partner to uphold shared goals and values, paving the way for effective collaboration.
2. Conceptualization and Content Creation
The University of Tartu led the WP2 discussions, focusing on the creation of a comprehensive competence list rooted in DigiComp, EnterComp, and GreenComp frameworks. This competency framework is central to the project, helping to guide the design of our educational tools. Partners also presented an evolving pedagogical framework aimed at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Vocational Education and Training (VET), ensuring that our project outcomes will be adaptable across diverse educational systems. Upcoming milestones for WP2 include the development of inclusive training content and practical, regionally relevant examples.
3. Pilot Implementations and Evaluation
Led by OCG, WP3 shared plans for pilot implementations designed to test 15 micro-modules across diverse target groups. The pilot phase is essential for gathering feedback from real-world educational settings, allowing us to fine-tune the modules for maximum impact. Certification and evaluation plans are underway to ensure participants receive recognition for their learning achievements, reinforcing the value of the competencies gained through the ComeThinkAgain project.
4. CETS Implementation
Konnekt:able led an engaging session on the CETS implementation. Partners discussed options for either leveraging open-source platforms or developing a custom platform from scratch. This critical discussion highlighted our commitment to creating a versatile and user-friendly learning environment that aligns with the needs of educators and learners across Europe.
5. Communication, Dissemination, and Sustainability
Finally, Inmark led the WP5 session, which focused on strategies to effectively communicate the project’s mission and results to a wide audience. With a newly developed Digital Education and Competence (DEC) plan, our communication efforts will span multiple channels, including social media, publications, and in-person multiplier events. The goal is to build a strong brand presence for ComeThinkAgain, positioning it as a cornerstone of innovation within the Erasmus+ program and the broader education community.
A Bright Path Forward
The Madrid meeting reaffirmed the strength of our partnerships and underscored the consortium’s dedication to transforming digital education. Each work package contributed invaluable insights, paving the way for the project’s continued success. As we look toward the next consortium meeting in April 2025, the ComeThinkAgain team is energized and ready to bring our vision to life.
Stay tuned as we continue our journey to empower educators and learners with the skills they need to thrive in a digitally-driven world. Together, we’re shaping the future of education through collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to sustainability.
